Zoom meeting Thursday 20th January 7pm
Organised by Derby Community Climate Hub & Derby City Council
This is an excellent opportunity to understand better how some sources of hydrogen can help reduce carbon emissions and to find out what Derby City Council have been doing to investigate opportunities in Derby and the local region.
Verna Bayliss, Director of Planning, Transport and Engineering for Derby City Council, will be opening with an introduction/ overview to the results of the study the Council commissioned into the use of hydrogen as an energy source. The link to the resulting public document is –
Zeroing in on hydrogen - Derby City Council
Following Verna’s overview, there will be several speakers giving short presentations about various aspects of the use of hydrogen as an energy source. There will be input from an academic at the University of Derby and also from environmentalists well known to Derby and Derbyshire Climate Coalitions.
After the talks we will invite questions from the attendees to the ‘Panel’ which will consist of all of the speakers. We intend to keep the overall event to about 1.5 hours.
We hope you can make this meeting on such an important and current issue.
