A number of Wheeldon Ave residents have asked the council to make sure the road drains are unblocked and gullies leading to them are clear of the leaf gunge to cut the risk of flooding.

There was a partial road clean before Christmas where StreetPride cleaned away the leaf debris that it could get at given that there was very short notice about moving cars. Notices have been delivered to all houses this time.

A tip from Statham and White Streets is to put your wheelie bin out when you drive off in the morning or someone else may park there.

To allow the machinery in to unblock the drains and clear the road edges, please do not park on Wheeldon Ave from 8am to 12 noon on Friday 11th Jan.

Please note that the clean up is gong to the bend where Wheeldon Ave meets West Bank Ave so that section isn’t available for parking either.
