Police Dispersal Order now in force

Derby Telegraph has the news that most of Derby has been placed under police dispersal rules. Six Streets, Darley Abbey, Chester Green and the city centre are amongst areas covered - Mackworth and Allestree are 2 of the few areas not covered.

Police across the city will be given extra powers to get people to leave an area within the specified zone from 4pm on Saturday, November 7.

It comes after a number of car meetings and large gatherings have taken place over the last few weeks in Chellaston, Wyvern and Littleover.

Derbyshire Constabulary says the measures are needed after reports of antisocial behaviour, breaches of Covid-19 regulations and traffic offences at these meetings.
