PPE, hand cream etc for NHS @ University
Update: As of 16th April, I have no new information on PPE at this site. I would hope that the delvieries are now on track and suggest that any donations concentrate on handcream and treats. Thank you.
The NHS drive through primary care facility at the university is assessing patients who have had phone triaging and need to see doctor/nurses in person - it is by appointment only.
As the PPE delivery has been delayed at the NHS Kedleston Road hot hub, it would be great if anyone who can donate face masks, gloves ( latex free only please) etc could drop them off at the gatehouse of the university site (Mon to Fri 10am to 7pm)
OR they can be left in either the open porch or black drop off box opposite the front door of 54 Wheeldon Ave and they will be donated asap.
Also welcome are donations of hand cream and snacks. They had a bulk donation of 4000 bottles of water delivered to get them through this hot weather which was much appreciated.
There is a post on Six Streets Facebook page
Other ways of supporting NHS:
NHS Charities Together is asking people to text “clap” to 70507, which will trigger a £5 donation, along with a message of support. Organisers of the “One Million Claps” appeal are asking for at least 1 million people to donate £5 by text message to fund food deliveries, overnight stays, kits and travel costs.
