Update: NHS Volunteer Drive & Derby Council Covid Support Hub

Across the country, people gave volunteered to help the vulnerable. The NHS has recruited and had so many apply to GoodSam that they are pausing it to catch up. Sadly this means those who made an error when they first applied have to wait before they can resubmit their application.

Derby City Covid19 Support Hub - contact details

If you wish to officially register as a volunteer with them to support outside Darley ward, then the registration document is here.

You can volunteer with Six Streets or other groups you know of closer to where you live - check they are known to the council as Six Streets is getting requests to support vulnerable people who do not know about us so can contact us directly.

When Six Streets gets a request, either directly or from council, it is sent out by bcc email. The first suitable person to respond is given the details and expected to fill the request promptly and then get back in touch so that Six Streets can tell council the job is done and delete confidential details.

Six Streets is also delivering some prescriptions 5 days a week for Markeaton Pharmacy - most by walking or cycling as volunteers combine this with daily exercise slot!
