Hallowe'en

As this is not a normal year, we ask people who usually come into the area to enjoy the displays and receive sweets from residents to please think again. There are ways you can enjoy Hallowe'en safely in your own area, saving you the bother of travelling here only to be disappointed that it is not the same as in previous years.

Hallowe'en in this area happens because of the residents who decide to make it special. Six Streets group does not organise it and we do not want to tell any residents what to do or not do.

Six Streets group usually supports local residents in celebrating Hallowe'en safely as well as in respecting those who don't participate. Many households across the area would normally choose to decorate their house and give out sweets to crowds of children alongside the fundraising organised by the PTFA and Broadway Cubs.

As safety is something we take seriously every year, we feel that this year is not the year for crowded streets or groups huddled around house doors. So Six Streets group will not be giving out prizes or supporting any kind of large gathering.

If you live in Six Streets, please share your ideas for a covid Hallowe'en to help others in area.

(Boring but necessary bit: These suggestions should take into account the government advice on distancing etc and also that a social gathering of more than 6 people is illegal)
