City centre roads closed for flood defence work
Highways bosses have closed two roads in Derby city centre so flood defence works can be carried out.
Derby City Council said Phoenix Street and Stuart Street were set to remain shut until 1 December, 2026.
The authority said the closures were part of the £35m Our City Our River (OCOR) scheme which includes work to demolish office blocks in the city centre along the River Derwent to turn it into green space.
Drivers have been warned to expect delays in the area.
